In our last news update we were heading towards Aylesbury in blazing sunshine and not a lot of rain and three months later still the same although this is lovely (except for the boiling hot weather) this has had a hugely adverse effect on the canal system. We are in the midst of it, as having arrived at our destination of Aylesbury Canal Basin, the Aylesbury Arm is shut now due to lack of water in the reservoirs that feed it. Not knowing when it will open again is a problem. It is difficult to plan for the next few months and where we will go. This reminds us of Jer. 29v11 and we have to trust he knows what he has planned for us. 

Our time down in Aylesbury has been positive in many ways. We have spent a good time with our friends in the Basin, especially with C and S, who we have been praying for in regard to cancer in C which we are thankful to God, and the Doctors, he is cancer free. He is to have one more round of chemo to make extra certain it does not come back. It has also meant we are close enough to have our Grandchildren to come and stay on our boat. This is lovely as we have been too far away before. We have also had chance to worship with Kingsbrook and Broughton Church where we attended when we have stayed in Aylesbury over the winter. 

 We had a good time at the IWA Foxton Festival 25th Anniversary Celebration. We were there with Boaters Christian Fellowship. We went for the Saturday and joined in with chatting to visitors and other stall holders, doing a quiz and boat race game. 

We are encouraged by answers to prayer from our last update and appreciate all the prayers from our supporters. 

We continue praying for the Mission later in August in Burnley. Paul and Sue have done a great job in organising this and we are encouraged by the involvement of the local churches. We will only have one boat 10,000 Reasons there due to the water shortages over the system.
